Installer
Get out in the field (virtually for now) and build the mesh!
Volunteer Coordinator
Connect all the commoners!
- Connect interested volunteers with Educators and meetups that help them get more involved
- Support new volunteers as they step into their chosen roles within the organization
- Help define our on-boarding strategy and play an instrumental role in fostering a healthy internal culture of cooperation
Software Developer
Hack on Yggdrasil and OpenWrt with us!
- Add new features and fix bugs in our routers
- Assist in installations and troubleshooting on site and/or remotely over the mesh
- Help define our development best practices and influence the direction of our tech development
Web Administrator
Keep our website updated.
- Update MassMesh.org
- Update our blog with our current status and installs
- Redesign all of our sites so they are more useful to users
Educator
Train the next generation of hackers.
- Use/develop technical curriculum (i.e. participatory labs) to train new volunteer Installers
- Train up others to become Educators themselves
- Help define our education strategy and play an instrumental role in fostering a healthy internal culture of cooperation
Project Manager
Help us all stay focused.
- Build roadmaps for deploying neighborhood networks, and for our various technical assets
- Work collaboratively on an open-source project where all efforts are contributed freely
- Weigh the needs of our several teams in a way that invites participation in decision-making by fellow volunteers
- Train others to become Project Managers themselves
- Help define our development best practices and influence the direction of our tech development
